Life is a journey, a glorious and transforming journey. I became a Christian on the tennis courts of Capital City Country Club in Atlanta, Georgia. That moment began my journey walking with Jesus Christ, a journey filled with adventure, struggle, and flourishing life. For many years, my husband and I worked with a wonderful urban ministry called the Atlanta Youth Project. After my husband completed seminary, our journey brought us to San Angelo, Texas where I became a pastor's wife. As I wrestled with my new calling here in West Texas, I discovered a love for writing. But what to write about? Words slipped away each time I tried. This desire to write led to a slow, wonderful pilgrimage into seminary, one class at a time. I found spiritual growth, depth of knowledge, and glorious words. Oh, how I love words. I love to read words and write words. And now I feel equipped to share those words. As I share my own journey with you, I hope this blog will encourage and bless you.
In June of 2024, I graduated with a Master in Theology and Ministry from Fuller Seminary. At the same time, my husband also graduated from Fuller Seminary with his Doctorate in Ministry. In September, my church commissioned me as a lay pastor. Now I am known, not only as a pastor's wife, but as Pastor Morgan. What a gift! The journey continues!
